About Us
Aluminium Koohrang Zagros was established in 2006 and has been in production since 2009. We manufacture aluminium and aluminium-alloy products for the power industry and supply raw materials to downstream metal industries, producing to international standards for both the domestic grid and export markets.
Our core activities
- Pure and alloyed aluminium wire rod in the 1000, 3000, 4000, 5000, 6000 and 8000 series.
- Bare overhead conductors — AAC, AAAC, ACSR, ACSR/AW, ACSR/GA, shield/earth wire and OPGW.
- MIG/TIG aluminium welding wire in a range of alloys and diameters.
- Compact alloy conductors and alloy wire for ABC cable, CCA/CCAM, rivet & nail and similar downstream uses.
Part of the Kaveh Group
Aluminium Koohrang Zagros does not operate alone — it is a member of the Kaveh Group, a vertically integrated industrial group spanning the full electrical-metals chain: from copper cathode and aluminium ingot, through rod, conductor and section, to finished cable. Koohrang Zagros sits at the aluminium heart of that chain; upstream companies supply the raw material, and a downstream company turns its rod and conductor into finished cable. The result is quality control from melt to reel, traceability, and shorter lead times than an independent supplier can offer.
- Mes Kaveh (Kaveh Copper) — the group's copper-rod producer and its copper foundation; the copper counterpart to our aluminium-rod line, so the group supplies both conductive metals, copper and aluminium, from a single source.
- Mesbar Kaveh — producer of copper and aluminium sections and conductors, and the group's sales and trading hub; the senior affiliate and commercial gateway, whose sections and sales network complement our rod and overhead conductors.
- Alum Cable Kaveh — the finished-cable producer and our most direct intra-group link; our rod and compact alloy conductors are the feedstock for its low-voltage, overhead and self-supporting (ABC) cables, completing the melt → rod → conductor → cable chain within one group.
- Beyond these, the Kaveh Group also includes Bafe Raad Kaveh (copper drawing & stranding) and Saba Khazen (low-voltage capacitors & power-factor correction).
Plant & capacity
Our plant is in the Farrokhshahr industrial zone near Shahrekord, Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari province, with a head office in Tehran. Annual capacity is approximately 20,000 tonnes.
