ACSR Fox Conductor
Fox is the smallest widely-used member of the ACSR animal-name series under BS 215 / EN 50182: six aluminium strands over a single steel core wire, with a total cross-section of about 42.79 mm² — the "Fox 42" line item that appears constantly in distribution and shield-wire tenders.

In BS-influenced grids Fox serves two familiar roles: phase conductor on light distribution feeders, and — very commonly in Iranian practice — the shield/guard wire of transmission lines, where the steel core's strength matters more than current capacity. The table below quotes this code's specification directly from the factory catalogue; for larger classes or corrosion-protected builds, see the main ACSR page and the conductor-designations guide.
